Over 250,000 African cookstove credits trade at $7.50/tCO2e

Credits from an African biomass cookstove and financed by Canada-based Key Carbon traded at $7.50 a tonne of carbon dioxide (tCO2e) for 250,000 t, with more credits from project sold at higher prices for smaller volumes.


The project’s location, ID and the vintage of the credits were not disclosed, although the source noted that it is aligned with eight UN sustainable development goals.
